The Sunlight Centre for Open Politics have been working on new fundraising strategies preparartion for ”Bringing Jacqui to Justice” campaign.
Chris Galley the Sunlight Centre’s Research Director says of the recent fundraising;
"We are very happy that the first day of fund raising collected something like 100 donations online and raised £7,000. We wait to see what the post brings tomorrow, most donations are coming in small amounts of £50 and under. Over the weekend we have exceeded £10,000 in public donations and the momentum has not decreased. This goes to show that the internet can be used as a tool to channel grassroots anger into action and donations."

The Sunlight Centre are passionate about maintaining the fundraising momentum and have worked with Ollie at The Red Rag to develop a suite of sponsorship packages. If Barack Obama can raise $200 Million then surely the Sunlight Centre for Open Politics can manage £100,000 as the first target in ‘‘Bringing Jacqui to Justice’’. We are currently in the stage of further evidence gathering and backing up our legal arguments over the parliamentary recess. We have a package to suit all budgets and are delighted to announce that The Red Rag has kicked off the programme by subscribing to a Gold package.
Ollie at The Red Rag said "I helped Chris (Research Director) put this together because I want to see his objectives met, I didn’t just want to whinge on my blog about Jacqui and her cronies, I wanted to do something."
