The Sunlight Centre for Open Politics has been accused by Shahid Malik MP in his local newspaper the Dewsbury Reporter of being a ‘clandestine Conservative Group’.  This is only days after we reported Mr Malik to John Lyon the Parliamentary Commissioner about his accomodation and office costs.  We have written back to the Dewsbury Reporter today wholly denying the accusations and informing the Dewsbury Reporter of our Non-Partisan stance.  Below is the letter sent to the editor of the Dewsbury Reporter.

The Sunlight Centre has spoken to the Dewsbury Reporter and our letter is due to be published on Friday 26th June 2009 in response to Mr Malik’s letter.
