My name is Chris Galley and I would like to introduce myself as the new Research Director of the Sunlight Centre for Open Politics.  I have recently been asked by the founder of Sunlight to take over this position from my predecessor Harry Cole who will be taking a year out to complete his studies.  Some of you may recognise me as the Civil Servant who leaked documents as a matter of conscience to Damian Green MP last year.  I have been offered the opportunity by the Sunlight founder to build on the work of my predecessor to make the Sunlight Centre one of the premier watchdogs of British politicians in the UK.  I believe this work to be particularly relevant especially with the ongoing expenses row and the continuing public disdain for politicians.  I hope our first steps into this arena to be the perusal of  MPs for private prosecutions who have abused the expenses system.
